Remodeling Your “New” Home
This is the time of year that most of our Realtors here in Vero call the best time of the year. All those people who want to stay warm for the winter are here. They may be renting for now, but after spending a month or two in our warm, sunny weather, they are going to be ready to purchase a home here. It happens every year. In fact, some of them purchase two or three homes here. One to live in, and another one or two to rent out.
Depending upon the style and location of the home they purchase, there is a good chance that the new homeowners will want some better, more energy efficient lighting installed. Perhaps they have room in the budget for more energy efficient appliances as well.
Here is an excerpt from the Electrical News website “….the clear energy savings can be north of 60 percent when combining the LED system with occupancy sensors and daylight harvesting. We recently learned through installation at a medical facility in Andover, MA that conversion from fluorescent lights to TLEDs alone reaps about 50 percent in energy savings. By incorporating occupancy sensors, we could yield an additional 10 percent savings, with yet another 5 percent energy reduction achieved through daylight harvesting.”
There’s another thing to think about as well when remodeling or upgrading your electrical systems in a home of office, and that’s connectivity. Today there are so many things we can install to make life easier and more efficient. Before you make any remodeling plans for your new, or not so new home, give us a call and we can have a discussion about how you want to live in your new home.
